Christopher Mazzeo
Associate Director for Policy and Outreach

Christopher Mazzeo is CCSR's new Associate Director for Policy and Outreach. Prior to joining the staff, Chris was an independent education policy consultant whose clients included MDRC, the Joyce Foundation, the Center for American Progress and the Brookings Institution, for whom he is currently writing a paper focused on improving college preparation and attainment outcomes among youth in major metropolitan areas in the United States. From 2001-2004, Chris served as a senior policy analyst in the Education Division of the National Governors Association Center for Best Practices, where he worked on both secondary and postsecondary policy issues and co-directed the division’s work on school improvement and accountability. Chris earned his AB from Columbia University in History and his Ph.D. in Social Sciences, Policy and Educational Practice from Stanford University in 2001.
