Desmond Patton E-mail: dpatton@ccsr.uchicago.edu Desmond Patton is a Research Assistant at the Consortium on Chicago School Research. He received a B.A. in Anthropology and Political Science, with honors, from the University of North Carolina - Greensboro, an M.S.W. from the University of Michigan and is currently working towards a Ph.D. in Social Welfare at the School of Social Service Administration at the University of Chicago. At CCSR he works on the Transition to High School project, a research project examining factors that shape students' academic behavioral engagement and course performance during their first year of high school.
