This is the third report by the Consortium on Chicago School Research (CCSR) that examines leadership development programs supported by The Chicago Public Education Fund for Chicago public school principals and teachers.
This current study, like the previous two, is not a comprehensive program evaluation. It is more descriptive in nature, providing insights into a series of discrete questions posed by The Fund.
We draw on a range of existing quantitative data resources, including Chicago Public Schools' personnel and test score data, and our own biannual survey of teachers and principals to augment data sources already available to The Fund.
We look at the Chicago's National Board Certified Teachers (NBCTs) and the district's three main programs for principal preparation -- Leadership and Urban Network for Chicago (LAUNCH), New Leaders for New Schools (NLNS) and the University of Illinois at Chicago's (UIC) Urban Education Leadership.
